Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Wevaz Hair Braiding platform ("Wevaz", "we", "us"), the booking system for our hair-braiding salon serving Texas through team members working from approved home-based locations.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, booking an appointment, or otherwise using Wevaz, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
- You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. A parent or legal guardian must book on behalf of a minor.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- One person may not operate multiple accounts to evade platform rules or penalties.
3. Client Accounts
Client accounts may search braiders, book appointments, pay deposits, message their braider, manage or cancel bookings, and leave reviews for completed appointments.
4. Braider Accounts
Braider accounts are created by application and reviewed before approval. Approved braiders publish services and prices, set their availability and service address, manage bookings, and collect the remaining balance directly from clients. Braiders pay an Annual Professional Membership fee of $49 per year to list on the platform.
5. How Wevaz Services Are Delivered
Appointments booked through Wevaz are performed by Wevaz team members at approved home-based salon locations across Texas. Team members are engaged as independent contractors for tax and employment purposes, and they deliver services under the Wevaz brand, standards, and booking process. Your appointment agreement is with Wevaz Hair Braiding, and the assigned team member performs the service on our behalf.
6. Hair-Braiding Services and Prices
Services, variants, durations, and prices displayed on a braider's profile are set and maintained by that braider. Prices shown at booking, including any hair or add-on options you select, are the prices that apply to your appointment.
7. Appointment Booking and Confirmation
Booking follows these steps: choose a service, choose a date and time, view available braiders sorted by distance from you, review your summary, pay the deposit, and receive confirmation. Your appointment is confirmed once the deposit is successfully processed; you then receive a confirmation with your braider's location and appointment details.
8. Deposits, Balances, and Payment Processing
- A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure every booking.
- The remaining 80% balance is paid directly to the braider after the service is completed, by Zelle, CashApp, or cash.
- Deposits and membership fees are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered into Stripe's payment fields; Wevaz does not receive or store complete card information.
- By booking, you authorize Wevaz to charge the deposit and any applicable late, cancellation, or no-show fees described below.
9. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the appointment.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment are considered late and incur a 25% fee of the total service price.
- All payments, including deposits, are final and non-refundable. No refunds are issued for completed services, missed appointments, or dissatisfaction.
- Rescheduling requests are handled directly with your braider through the platform and are subject to that braider's availability. Wevaz does not currently define a separate rescheduling fee — this provision is flagged for review if a policy is adopted.
10. Late Arrival and No-Shows
- Arriving 30 minutes to 1 hour late incurs a $25 late fee.
- Arriving more than 1 hour late results in automatic cancellation and is treated as a no-show.
- A no-show (not attending, or arriving more than 1 hour late) is charged 50% of the total service price.
11. Client Responsibilities
- Arrive on time, at the correct address, with your hair prepared as instructed.
- Disclose relevant scalp conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before the service begins.
- Pay the remaining balance immediately after the service using an accepted method.
- Treat your braider and their workspace with respect.
12. Braider Responsibilities and Accurate Information
- Maintain accurate profile, service, price, availability, and address information at all times.
- Only upload portfolio photos of work you performed or have the right to use.
- Honour confirmed bookings, keep the workspace clean and safe, and perform services professionally.
- Comply with all applicable licensing, health, safety, and tax obligations in your jurisdiction.
13. Prohibited Conduct
- Providing false information, impersonating others, or misrepresenting credentials.
- Fraudulent bookings, payment fraud, or attempts to avoid platform fees.
- Harassment, discrimination, threats, or abusive behaviour toward clients, braiders, or staff.
- Posting unlawful, obscene, or infringing content, including photos you do not own.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, disrupting, or attempting unauthorized access to the platform.
14. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews may be submitted by clients for appointments they actually booked and completed. Reviews must be honest, based on first-hand experience, and free of abusive or unlawful content. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms, and we may display your display name alongside your review.
15. Intellectual Property
The Wevaz name, logo, site design, and platform content are owned by Wevaz Hair Braiding. You retain ownership of the content you upload and grant Wevaz a non-exclusive licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
16. Platform Availability
We aim to keep Wevaz available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued, and maintenance or third-party outages may temporarily affect access.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraud or abuse, or creates risk for other users. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard; outstanding balances and non-refundable payments remain payable.
18. Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". Wevaz makes no warranty regarding the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of any service performed by an independent braider, and does not guarantee the accuracy of braider-supplied information.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wevaz is not liable for injuries, allergic reactions, hair or scalp damage, dissatisfaction with results, disputes between clients and braiders, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. All service risks are assumed by the client and the braider.
20. Disputes
Clients and braiders must first attempt to resolve service disputes directly with each other. Complaints may be submitted to Wevaz within a reasonable timeframe; we may assist in mediation but are not responsible for outcomes and do not guarantee a particular result. Governing law and formal dispute-resolution venue are not currently defined for the platform — this provision is flagged for legal review.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
